Morocco driving resources
Guides, checklists and no-deposit car rental for driving in Morocco.
Planning to drive in Morocco? Start here. These guides cover the practical questions visitors ask — licences and documents, the autoroute tolls, city parking and fuel, picking up at the airport, and whether renting is safe — and connect to no-deposit cars from local vendors across the country.
Before you go
Most visitors can drive on a valid home licence, ideally with an International Driving Permit, and should carry their passport and the rental papers. Insurance is included on every DriveCars booking, with free cancellation and no security deposit. The guides below cover documents, safety and what to expect on the road.
On the road
Morocco’s autoroutes are fast and tolled (pay by cash or card at barriers), fuel is widely available on main routes but thins out in the mountains and south, and city parking usually means a gardien or a pay-and-display blue zone. The toll, fuel/parking and automatic-vs-manual guides go into the detail.
Airports & cities
Pick up curbside at Casablanca (CMN), Marrakech (RAK) or Tangier (TNG) and drive straight off your flight, or collect in the city. Each airport and city has its own guide and a no-deposit booking page.
